The IssueTrack template implements an issue tracking solution using a template tailored to team oriented issues which must maintain ownership and follow a structured process. The template has been designed to integrate management and team individuals to facilitate task oriented processes. Common examples are tasks, action items, issues and cases.
When an issue is raised, it is immediately assigned to an individual who assumes ownership until the issue is passed to another individual. Throughout this transfer of ownership, the issue will follow a change process, where it assumes different progress states until it is solved and closed.
The IssueTrack template makes use of the following initial fields to collect details about the issue and how it is handled during this change process :
a unique ID to identify a issue in the system
a small title or summary of the issue which is used to identify the bug with it's ID
the current owner of this issue.
the project this issue belongs to.
the current progress status of the issue.
each issue can be given a priority value which can be used to group or escalate issues.
a comment given by any user who is modifying the issue.
a list of users who want to be kept informed about all progress of the issue.
a complete history of all changes to each field for the issue.
In addition, full details of the bug are given in the info section such as :
